Art Contest Open House & Reception

Mackinac Associates and the Mackinac Island Arts Council award prizes to the artists who best capture the year’s theme, Echoes of the Island: A Journey Through Time. The event includes a reception and open house at the Richard and Jane Manoogian Mackinac Art Museum.

G. Mennen Williams Mackinac Celebration

Named in honor of Governor "Soapy" Williams, the G. Mennen Williams Mackinac Celebration exemplifies our love for Mackinac Island's rich history and Governor Williams' key role in 1958 in bringing together local leaders, historians, and politicians to support the historic restoration and professional museum program at Mackinac State Historic Parks.
Mackinac Associates Red, White and Blue Celebration

A great way to continue the holiday festivities, join fellow Mackinac Associates members for a Fourth of July reception at the Huron Road Pavilion near Fort Mackinac. The fort will be open for fireworks viewing from the island later in the evening. This event is free for Mackinac Associates members.

Behind the Scenes: MSHP Collections Tour

Do you ever wonder where Mackinac State Historic Parks keeps all of the items in their collection that aren't on display? Now is your chance to find out! Join us for this behind the scenes members-only program at the Heritage Center on Mackinac Island. There is no cost to attend the tour but RSVP is required. Limited to 30 people.

Behind the Scenes: Archaeological Ruins Tour
Friday, August 14, 7:30 p.m., Colonial Michilimackinac, Mackinaw City
Michilimackinac is reconstructed based on archaeologically excavated remains of 250-year-old buildings, which take specialized care to preserve. Come learn about the recent Mackinac Associates-supported conservation project and enjoy a guided tour of the ruins of six structures.
